This really sucks!!
Thanks a bunch! Tomorrow will definitely be a wild day. I have often told my students that I'm lucky I never got addicted to anything other than tobacco. I could only imagine what crack, heroin, or alcohol would be like. I exercise pretty much every day, so hopefully I'll be able to stay away from the snacking temptations, although that is difficult even without quitting dipping. I am not looking forward to this week, but hopefully it will be a first step. The last time (and really only voluntary time I quit) it took a month before I finally forgot that I had ever dipped. I quit saying, "It's been two weeks, etc." If only I could go back 26 years.

Get ya some of that mint "snuff" substitute...it works to keep ur cravings down.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....
I've used that stuff before. Unfortunately cold turkey is going to have to be the way. Day #2 has gone pretty good. Didn't sleep worth a sh** last night, but I wasn't grouchy today.
When I quit, I used that mint...but i'd end up eating it...lol. After about 5 years, I decided life was too short not to dip..
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....
I quit last year after 7 years...
I just walked away somehow....
I still want a dip, when i see someone get one, or when I smell it....
Need A Penny? Take A Penny...Need 2 Pennies? Get A Job!!!

I'm going to be honest. I feel really hollow inside. This really sucks! Almost the end of Day #3.
Keep it up big guy the hardest part is just about over.

Last night was a doozy. Had a knockdown, dragout with my 11-year old, my better half, and the mother-in-law over cleaning out a notebook and some missing homework. I was being called, but I didn't backslide. I still can't imagine what a "real" drug addict goes through when they quit. Thanks for all the support. It does help...A LOT!!
Good job ! I've always heard it takes about 21 days to beat an addiction so hang in there .
Life is a grindstone . Whether it grinds us down or polishes us up , depends on what we are made of .
